Richard Costello MCIPP
Director
Richard began his payroll career at just 14 and has since built over a decade of experience working within payroll bureaus. Drawing on his extensive experience, Richard founded Apt Payroll Services. He advises on all aspects of payroll, providing clients with practical insight.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys gaming and board game design. He has recently started building a local community around Trench Crusade, when he can find the time to finish painting his yeomen.
Michael Archibald ACIPP
Payroll Administrator
Michael joined Apt at the end of 2025, bringing over two years of payroll experience and a Level 3 IPP qualification. As a Payroll Administrator, he manages the day-to-day payroll needs of clients, ensuring their teams are paid accurately and on time.
Outside of payroll, Michael plays as a winger for Evercreech Rovers. He is a loyal Man United supporter, but tends to find more success in Fantasy Premier League. Michael’s main claim to fame is appearing as a 6-foot-1 centre-back for Yeovil in the Football Manager series.
